Guards/Officers: Players acting as guards enforce the prison's rules. They monitor prisoners, prevent escapes, and handle situations like fights or riots.
Medics: In some games, there's a medic role to heal injured players, often required during escapes or riots.
Maintenance Crew: A less common role that players can take to repair or interact with parts of the prison’s infrastructure.
Weapons: Guards may have weapons to prevent riots or escape attempts. Prisoners might find weapons or tools to aid in their escapes or to fight back against guards.
Riot System: Many prison games have a riot system, where inmates can rally and create chaos. Guards must then suppress the riot and restore order.
