The Specialist Rescue Training Centre in Beckton, London is the London Fire Brigade’s Premier training centre for Rescue and Lifesaving. This centre includes an Urban Search and Rescue Rig, with 5 collapsed buildings and areas, Heights Rescue with a mock crane and abseil tower, Confined Space Rescue with an underground maze of tunnels, Breathing Apparatus with a BA Smoke Chamber, Railway Rescue with mock railway tracks, Disaster Scenarios with a large rubble field, 2 Classroom areas, medical demonstrations, an Incident Command suite and more. It also includes several vehicle garages and storage areas, as well as a huge river for confined space rescue. The Centre also includes communal areas like a restaurant and sports hall, as well as locker rooms and a reception area.
